The people behind the protocol
Mycelium is not a company. Not a startup. Not a product. It is a protocol, created by people who live in a sustainable community and share what they have learned in practice.
What we are
We are members of a sustainable community. We live in a model that works differently from the market. We share our resources with each other – time, skills, space, knowledge. We have been doing this for years.
We created the Mycelium protocol ourselves – not as a theory, but as a description of what we do. We wrote down the principles, the structure and the practices we use.
A shared resource, not property
The initial resource with which the platform started – time, technology, infrastructure – was invested by the founders. They took a risk: the community could grow, but it could also fall apart. If it had fallen apart, they would have lost what they had invested.
Today that resource is a shared resource of the community. It is not owned by anyone – neither by the founders nor by the members. Everyone who gains access to it makes a contribution – financial or through a real resource – which restores the risk taken by the founders.
Once you are in, the founders participate in exchange under the same rules as any other member – through SV. There are no privileges, no hierarchy, no owner from outside.
What we are not
- We are not owners of Mycelium. The platform is a shared resource.
- We sell nothing. No subscription, no purchase, no profit.
- We are not gurus. We only share what we have tested in practice.
- We do not promise results. We say that there is another way – if a person is ready to put in effort.
Why we created Mycelium
Because we have lived in both models. We know the market one – with its advantages and its failures. And we know the community one – with its requirements and its results.
We know that the alternative is possible. But we also know that it does not happen automatically. It requires abilities that not everyone has – and which do not develop on their own.
